We deliver seasonal, local, organic fruit and veg across Sheffield and the Peak District. We know our growers and work closely with farms in the Sheffield region — in summer, most of our produce comes from the UK, and we avoid air freight all year round.
What we stand for

Fruit and veg are cheaper in season, and they haven’t travelled as far. This means that you’ll get the best quality and choice for your budget.
Local

Organic
Organic fruit and veg is grown without artificial fertilisers or pesticides. It’s a nature-friendly way to farm which improves soil health and biodiversity.
Zero Waste
We recycle everything, donate surplus to local charities and compost veg clippings in a closed loop with our growers.
The Beanies Story
Beanies was founded in 1986. From humble beginnings in Hillsborough via a converted terrace in Walkley and on to our beautiful premises at 1 Barber Road, Beanies has flourished.
We’re a Workers Co-operative — owned and run by our members, equally. No directors earning more than the rest. We meet together, decide together, and grow together. It’s worked for nearly four decades.
Friendly, helpful and much-loved in the community, Beanies is one of Sheffield’s greatest success stories.

We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday. We have an Onsite car part and the shop has accessible entry
